Better World MBA Ranking: Audencia ranked 2nd best programme in France and 37th in the world

The Better World MBA Ranking published today by Corporate Knights ranks Audencia’s Full-Time MBA programme second best French programme. Among the 160 ranked programmes, Audencia’s programme is 22nd in Europe and 37th in the world.

The Better World MBA ranking evaluates, as its methodology indicates, the “sustainable performance” of MBA programmes to highlight those that best integrate societal and environmental issues into their curriculum, and the schools whose professors are the most active on these subjects in terms of research. The 20th edition of the ranking, published on 10 November, places Audencia’s programme as the second best in France. Audencia’s Full-Time MBA is also ranked 37th in the world’s top 40, that includes programmes from 12 countries, 58% of which are in Europe. This year, 160 programmes were evaluated, compared to 147 in 2021.

According to Mickaël Naulleau, Director of Audencia Executive Education, MBA & DBA: “Audencia embarked on the CSR path over 15 years ago. The position of our programme in the Better World MBA ranking is the result of our continuing work to adapt our teaching to further benefit our graduates’ positive impact. The objective is to give them the keys to understanding and acting to transform their future organisations, fully respecting the limits of our planet.

Corporate Knights evaluated programs across seven key performance indicators (with the last criteria having been added this year):

  • core course integration of sustainability (30%)
  • research publications per faculty member on sustainability topics (20%)
  • percent of total faculty publications in 2021 on sustainability topics (20%)
  • number of citations per faculty for those publications (10%)
  • sustainability-focused research institutes and centres (10%)
  • faculty gender diversity (5%) and faculty racial diversity (5%).
  • Measure of alumni sustainability impact (% of recent grads working at impact organisations) was introduced as a bonus (worth up to 5%).

Corporate Knights’ rankings are based on the Financial Times 2021 Top 100 Global MBAs, the Better World MBA 2021 programmes, and selected AMBA, AACSB or EQUIS accredited MBA programs that choose to take part.
