Lord Baker demonstrates the benefits of UTCs
Inclusion caught up with Lord Baker at the Youth Employment Convention last month to share his views with FE News on how to improve youth employability.
Mr Baker believes the younger generation needs to be more aware of life after school, and highlights how University Technical Colleges (UTC) consistently discuss the jobs market, even inviting local businesses to talk about future employment.
He also warns of the risk of a skills mis-match in the UK if it continues to avoid dealing with a skills shortage within the technical industry.
