Nicholas Coleridge, managing director of Condé Nast, said: “Condé Nast is perfectly placed to enter the world of education.

“The reputation and authority of our brands puts us in a strong position to teach and inspire the fashion and decorating talent of the future.”

Editor of Easy Living magazine and former deputy editor of Vogue Susie Forbes will become principal of the college.

Forbes remarked: “With access to some of the sharpest and most creative minds shaping the fashion, design and interiors industries today, we aim to educate students to the highest level.

The college will offer up to 300 students a year-long fashion foundation course, sponsored by its Vogue brand, and ten week intensive fashion qualifications.

Curriculums will include the history of the disciplines, print and digital journalism, luxury brand marketing and other related business skills.

Several postgraduate courses in House & Garden backed interior design and decoration courses will also be introduced.
The college will be supported by a board of education and fashion advisors and a prime central London location for the college will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
