Martin Hottass joins City & Guilds Group to grow City & Guilds Institutes of Advanced Technology network
The City & Guilds Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Hottass as Managing Director of the City & Guilds Institutes of Advanced Technology (IAT) network.
This appointment comes a year after the City & Guilds Group announced its acquisition of leading training provider Gen2 as its first Institute of Advanced Technology. Gen2 was acquired to expand the Group’s impact in technical skills development for STEM-related industries. Martin will build on this success, leading the growth of the City & Guilds IAT network and establishing it as a high-quality training provider of STEM focused skills operating across the UK and internationally.
Martin joins the organisation from Siemens where he held a number of senior learning and development positions in Siemens Energy Sector across Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has also served on a number of steering groups, including the IFA, SEMTA and the Apprenticeship Stakeholder Board.
Commenting on Martin’s appointment, Chris Jones, Chief Executive of the City & Guilds Group said: ‘Martin brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles within the energy sector. I am delighted that he is joining us to develop our IAT network. STEM skills are essential for the workforce needed by businesses, and are vital for the UK economy.’
