AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group have an exciting fixed term opportunity for a Website Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications team.

Location: Derby/Hybrid

Salary: £27,011 – £32,524

Contract: Fixed term for 9 months with the possibility to extend (full time – 36.5 hours per week)

Closing Date: Thursday 29th August 2024 at 9 am

The Website Coordinator will create, implement and launch a new website, raise the profile of the organisation in order to increase new business enquiries and grow the volume of business with existing customers by:
creating and managing the organisation’s website
planning, organising, and executing a variety of events
Note – You will work closely with the appointed external website development agency to test and launch the website in June 2025.

What you will be doing
Website:
Working closely with the chosen supplier and Head of Marketing and Communications, lead the website development and launch including: planning, design, content migration and creation, and testing to ensure the website is launched on time. You will be the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, and you will be essential in ensuring a seamless integration of content strategy with technical execution.

Manage website structure, performance, and security, and brief in new features and requests as required including backend development and technical upkeep.

Maintain and update website content using WordPress CMS.

Respond and deal with customer related technical queries.

Evaluate website user experience, make recommendations for improvements, and implement changes.

Support the development and maintenance of the qualifications’ database, ensuring information is added, stored, and correctly linked to the website.

Work with the external web agency to develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy for SEO.

Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications and external web agency to develop and implement a strategy to increase web traffic, subscribers, and qualified traffic to stimulate new business leads.

Be aware of website legal requirements and make recommendations to ensure compliance (eg GDPR, use of cookies, privacy policies, accessibility, copyright laws).

Use Google Analytics to track and improve user experience and create regular progress reports of website analytics.

Introduce and test new functionality including: online events booking; payments system, competition management.

Work with AIM’s graphic designer to ensure the website is on-brand and meets national readability/accessibility guidelines.

Arrange and run stakeholder events to garner feedback.

Arrange and run training sessions for stakeholders and end-users.

Plan and implement a launch campaign.

Who we are looking for:

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE
Experience

Relevant marketing experience within a workplace
Proven knowledge of working with Excel spreadsheets and databases
Using WordPress
Managing the development and launch of a new website
Migrating content on websites
Of developing/using online event management software/platforms
Working under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
Using Microsoft packages
Using AI to generate content
Working on own initiative

Knowledge
Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant subject area
A strong understanding of web development processes
Excellent knowledge and experience using spreadsheets
Understanding of SEO principles
Understanding of user experience (UX) principles
Knowledge of web hosting and domain management
Demonstrable database knowledge and experience.

DESIRABLE
Using of a CRM system eg HubSpot/Salesforce/Creatio
Knowledge of and experience in the education and training sector
Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, illustrator, InDesign, etc), Canva, Inkscape)
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms
Proof-reading and editing skills
Good influencing skills
