Sessional Lecturer – Uniformed Protective Services & Policing

The Commercial Industries & Access School at Kingston College are now seeking a Sessional Lecturer with a subject specialism of Uniformed Protective Services & Policing. You will take responsibility for the group tutorship of one of the courses within the Uniformed Protective Services & Policing curriculum area, teaching on a variety of courses and levels, including but not limited to: BTEC, NCFE, Levels 2 & 3.
We would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills with substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes. With links to the industry, relevant external agencies and validating bodies, you’ll have high personal standards and expectations with energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education.
Able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress, you’ll have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure and to agreed deadlines.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
