PHSE Tutor Opportunity

Join our clients team and make a lasting impact on young lives! Our clients have been leaders in Apprenticeships and Vocational training for over 40 years, specializing in NVQs. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated PHSE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) Tutor to inspire and educate students through a comprehensive PHSE curriculum. This role offers the chance to shape the future of our learners by teaching essential Personal Social Development (PSD), Life Skills, and Employability Skills.

Position Details:

Full-Time: 36 hours per week, £26,000 per annum
Term Time Only Option: £22,000 per annum

Your Responsibilities:

Course Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, deliver, and assess engaging courses tailored to diverse student needs.
Curriculum Development: Create detailed syllabi, course outlines, and initial schemes of work, updating them as necessary.
Lesson Preparation: Develop session plans and learning materials to enhance student engagement.
Learner Support: Provide subject-specific advice and support, monitor progress, and prepare learners for exams and accreditation.
Feedback and Reporting: Maintain records, mark assessments, and report feedback to the Centre Head and/or Curriculum Managers.
Quality Assurance: Oversee teaching quality and participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with subject and national/local learning developments.
Additional Duties: Support invigilation for other subjects and perform other tasks as required by Management.

What We’re Looking For:

Expertise in PHSE: In-depth knowledge and substantial experience in PHSE.
Teaching Qualifications: Hold a teaching qualification such as PGCE, PTLLS, or DTLLS.
Experience with Students Aged 16+: Proven experience in teaching or working with students aged 16+.
Post-16 Education Principles: Understanding of planning, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of post-16 education.
Diverse Teaching Methods: Familiarity with various learning strategies and teaching methods to cater to diverse abilities.
Effective Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and learners (at least Level 2 or willingness to acquire equivalent qualification).
