Multiply Tutor based in Birmingham City Centre
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Tutor to join our clients dynamic team in Birmingham. Our clints were set up over 37 years ago with the aim to tack unemployment in the local community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a proven track record of helping students improve their math skills. This role involves providing one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students of various ages and proficiency levels, from primary school through to A-levels. The Math Tutor will be responsible for assessing students’ needs, developing personalized learning plans, and delivering engaging, effective instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in mathematics for students of varying ages and skill levels.
Assess students’ current understanding of mathematical concepts and identify areas for improvement.
Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
Explain mathematical concepts in a clear and concise manner to facilitate student comprehension.
Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
Prepare students for exams and standardized tests, including GCSEs and A-levels.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance learning.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and session details.
Stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends and developments in mathematics education.
Travel to the centre in Birmingham City Centre and around South Birmingham occasionally.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A higher degree or relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) is highly desirable.
Previous experience tutoring mathematics is essential, with a proven track record of student success.
Strong knowledge of the UK mathematics curriculum, including primary, secondary, GCSE, and A-level content.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
