Job Title: Math Tutor (GCSE and Functional Skills)

Location: Centre Based in Staffordshire

Salary: 

£23,500 – £24,000 without AET/PTLLS teaching qualification
Up to £26,000 with AET/PTLLS and Teaching experience

Essential Criteria:

– Experience of delivering Maths to learners at GCSE or Functional Skills level.
– Ideally qualified to A Level or Maths at Level 3
– An awareness of different learning strategies and teaching methods suitable for a range of learning abilities.
– Hold or willingness to undertake a Level 3 teaching qualification (fully funded).
– Ability and confidence to deliver to groups of learners in a classroom setting.
– Experience of working with learners with additional needs such as ADHD and Autism.

Duties:

– Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 16-24, in a small group setting of circa 8 learners.
– Prepare plans and learning materials making them engaging. 
– Support learners with Maths and English alongside the Vicational Tutor offering advice and guidance.
– The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
– Deliver information, advice and guidance to enable learners to make informed decisions about their future goals and aspirations.
– The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help them realise their potential.
– You will follow schemes of work but have the flair to make them your own, and deliver encouraging, nurturing and motivating training.
