Learner Engagement Officer

We are looking for a passionate and driven Learner Engagement Officer to help engage, retain, and support the success of learners within our organisation. You will play a key role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, building strong relationships with learners, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure effective participation and development. This role is essential to promoting lifelong learning and ensuring learners can overcome any barriers to their success.

Key Responsibilities:

Attract Learners: Promote the wide range of learning opportunities available and assess the suitability of candidates for our programmes.
Drive Enrolment: Support the conversion of prospective learners into enrolled students.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team to support the career development of learners.
Information & Guidance: Provide high-quality information, advice, and guidance to learners.
Networking & Relationships: Build key relationships with regional organisations to facilitate referrals and promote our programmes.
Documentation & Processes: Ensure the completion of accurate and high-quality documentation and processes.
Recruitment Events: Organise and participate in recruitment events, open houses, and information sessions.
Applicant Assessments: Conduct initial assessments of applicants and match them to employment opportunities.
Learner Engagement: Maintain regular communication with learners to ensure they are informed, engaged, and supported.
Placement: Ensure high-quality candidates are quickly placed into opportunities, supporting both learners and employers.
Networking Events: Attend and participate in networking events and deliver presentations to raise the organisation’s profile.

Qualifications & Skills:

Knowledge of funding streams such as WMCA Bootcamps and Advanced Learner Loans.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
Ability to convey complex information clearly and diplomatically.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions.
Experience in marketing strategies aimed at attracting learners.
Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
