Who we need

As one of two Lead Learning Facilitators, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming our Learning Resource Centres into vibrant, student-centred hubs that seamlessly integrate digital innovation with traditional library resources. You’ll lead a dedicated team of Learning Facilitators, collaborating with curriculum teams to create exciting blended and online learning opportunities that empower our students to thrive in both digital and traditional learning environments.

Key aspects of the role include:

Spearhead the development of our Learning Resource Centre strategy, aligning it with our college’s vision for a balanced approach to learning resources
Champion digital transformation initiatives while preserving and enhancing our valuable book collections and print resources
Design and deliver engaging digital skills training programmes, equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed in both digital and traditional research methods
Manage and innovate our learning resource systems, ensuring we’re at the cutting edge of educational technology while maintaining a rich, diverse collection of books and print materials
Collaborate with curriculum teams to identify areas for both digital innovation and traditional resource enhancement, supporting flexible learning models that cater to all students

The successful candidates will:

Be a passionate leader with experience in managing learning resource centres and driving quality improvements in both digital and traditional learning environments
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams across multiple sites
Have a keen eye for emerging trends in educational technology and digital innovation, coupled with a deep appreciation for the enduring value of books and print resources
Have experience in delivering training and development workshops through various methods (face-to-face, online, and technology-based)
Hold a degree or equivalent qualification, with Level 2 Maths and English
