Who we need

We are looking for a Learning & Skills Assessor to join our Health and Social Care team. Successful applicants will undertake workplace visits in person and using online platforms, on a regional and national basis, supporting our students throughout their learning journey. As a Learning & Skills Assessor you will be responsible for:

-Undertaking DBS checks with students

-Undertaking progress reviews and mandatory observations with students at external placement providers

-Sourcing potential work placements

-Helping students understand their role in the learning journey

-Keeping KPIs compliant against Conditions of Funding

-Being able to work in close collaboration with tutors on student progress

-Doing attendance checks on students for placements

-Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of student progress

What you’ll bring

You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking person able to provide high quality support to both health and social care students and employers. As a Learning & Skills Assessor you will:

· Be an exceptional communicator, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels, including tutors, mentors, employers and colleagues

· Be well organised as you will need to manage your own diary and caseload

· Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to deliver an outstanding learning experience

· Have a good level of ICT with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams

· Have a good eye for detail as you will need to ensure funding rules are followed

-Hold or be willing to work towards the IQA qualification (CAVA/A1/D32 D33, V1/D34, AET/PTLLS or be willing to work towards)

· Hold a full UK Driving Licence and own car (desirable not essential)
