Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

Location: London – Must be flexible with travel

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

– Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2 to learners undertaking Apprenticeship qualifications on a face-to-face basis.
– Identify and provide additional learning support to learners with identified learning difficulties and disabilities.
– Design and deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
– The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.

Essential Criteria:

– Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above. 
– Must have experience of delivering group and 1-1 Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.
– Must hold own Maths and/or English at Level 2 or above.
– Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
– Excellent presentation and communication skills.
– The successful candidate must be engaging, and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and teach learners.
– Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
