Are you passionate about connecting learners with opportunities and fostering career growth? Our client, a respected training provider with over 16 years of expertise, is seeking a dynamic Employer Engagement Officer. This role is crucial for supporting learners in their journey through the Level 3 Cyber Bootcamp, helping them secure job interviews and apprenticeship placements within the IT sector.

Role Overview:

As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in linking learners with employment opportunities and enhancing their career prospects. Your focus will be on sourcing and supporting learners, engaging local employers, and organizing job interviews. You will work primarily in the West Midlands, spearheading outreach activities to attract and recruit learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Employer Engagement: Connect with local businesses to promote and facilitate upskilling through the funded Cyber Bootcamp course.
Job Placement: Source and secure sustainable employment vacancies in IT and Cyber Security for learners, achieving or surpassing performance targets.
Database Management: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of employer contacts.
Market Analysis: Analyze labor market trends and provide feedback to refine action plans with relevant staff.
Opportunity Promotion: Proactively communicate and promote job and training opportunities to meet the needs of both employers and learners.
Recruitment Solutions: Identify and implement employer-led recruitment solutions, fostering long-term relationships with businesses.
Event Participation: Represent the organization at recruitment, employment, and information events.
Outcome Tracking: Collect and verify evidence of employment and positive outcomes for learners.
Career Support: Assist learners in accessing employment or apprenticeships aligned with their skills and aspirations, using appropriate assessments and diagnostic processes.
Partnership Development: Collaborate with employers and training providers to match learners with suitable opportunities in the Digital Sector.
Record Keeping: Input and maintain accurate records of learner progress using both computerized systems and hard copies.
Career Education: Develop and deliver career education and personal development programs tailored to local needs.
Presentations and Guidance: Provide career guidance through presentations and individual consultations, offering detailed information on IT employment and training opportunities.
Sector Knowledge: Stay updated on developments in IT education, training, and employment to offer relevant advice and guidance.
KPI Achievement: Meet and exceed assigned KPI targets for the role.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience in conducting Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) interviews.
Background in IT or cyber recruitment or business development.
Proficiency in IT systems, including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, and databases (preferably Microsoft-based).

Desirable Skills:

Ability to speak one or more community languages.
Experience in IT sector recruitment or education.
Proven track record in recruiting for education and training programs.
Strong connections within the apprenticeship sector.
