Job Title: Business Development Manager (Apprenticeships / Software)

Location: Home / field based – Must be flexible with travel as required

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Bonus

Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role: 

Proactively identify and engage with Education providers (Colleges, Training Providers and Universities), to promote our client’s portfolio of Apprenticeship / Learner Management software products.
Create new business and develop/maximise existing business relationships.
Using a professional and consultative approach, to discuss product functionality, features, and benefits, with the organisations you engage with.
Be actively involved from creation of proposal through to completion. Ensuring continuous reviews to refine offering.
Remote sales activities via online meetings, webinars and product demonstrations.
Having an understanding of the Apprenticeship training industry, you will be able to talk confidently and in depth about how the software solution will meet all areas required from the beginning to end of the learner journey.
Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.
Working towards and achieving targets linked to growth and revenue.
Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines.
Essential Criteria: 

The successful Business Development Manager will have proven experience of developing new business within the training sector (working within a College or independent Training Provider)
Knowledge and / or experience within the software development sector is highly desirable.
Proven experience of generating own leads, negotiating / winning, and closing new business. 
Exceptional communication skills, with the desire and drive to succeed. 
Experience of working towards and achieving targets. 
Able to work independently, and remotely.
Driver / Car Owner.
Must be flexible with travel (as and when required)
