Pathway Group strengthens Business Development Team
THE Birmingham based training company Pathway Group has added to its Business Development Team as it prepares for growth in 2018.
Based at Tyseley in Birmingham and with offices in Walsall and London, Pathway specialises is apprentice and vocational training.
It has a particular niche in working with people who faces special challenges including young people who are not working or in education or training and older workers who are looking to return to work.
Michelle Hogg has joined Pathway to help the business expand its client base during the coming year.
She joins Pathway after 18 years working with Mercia Management Limited in Wolverhampton as a work based learning manager specialising in the training of engineering apprentices.
“It was time to move onto a new challenge and I am excited to be joining Pathway at an important time for the business,” said Michelle who lives in Walsall.
“There are some very big changes in training and the way in which apprenticeships are funding.
“At Pathway we want to help the Government to meet its target of increasing the number of apprentices by 2020. Apprenticeships have changed a great deal and are now available across many sectors, open to men and women of all ages and can range from a 12-month level two qualification to degree level.
“My role will involve developing further relationships with employers, identifying funding available to assist their business development and growth, provide training solutions to enable employers to utilise the funding available and delivering a high-quality service by putting the customers at the centre of Pathways business.
“This is the key to ensuring long term trading relationships.”
Michelle said that at the heart of her work is making a difference to the lives of people and businesses.
“It is also gratifying to help someone into work and improve their prospects whilst supporting a business to grow and become more productive,” she added.
Safaraz Ali believes that Michelle will be a valuable addition to the team.
“Her enthusiasm, knowledge and experience will be an important asset,” said Safaraz Ali, Managing Director of Pathway and founder of the Asian Apprenticeship Awards.
