Award-winning director to promote essential life skills through drama, music and the arts
Katie Posner announced as new patron of Arts Insight
Arts Insight has announced that Katie Posner, an award-winning theatre director has joined the UK charity as a patron.
Arts Insight is a national charity that works with schools to teach children essential life skills through drama, music and the arts.
Posner is the newly appointed joint artistic director of Paines Plough.Previously associate director for Pilot Theatre and has worked extensively for York Theatre Royal.
On her appointment, Posner said:
“I have always admired the work that Laura (Artistic Director of Arts Insight) does with children and I am delighted to be joining the charity as a patron. The work they do is absolutely essential in teaching skills that young people can use beyond the classroom and throughout their lives. I look forward to supporting the great work that Arts Insight is doing across the UK in my new role as patron.”

With fewer drama, music, art and design teachers than ever before, Arts Insight is continually working to bridge the gap within the education system and provide this essential provision to as many schools across the UK as possible.
The charity partners with schools nationally and in areas of high need to help children develop fundamental life skills through specially developed theatre workshops, which positively impact on their lives now and in the future.
Arts Insight is a national charity on a mission to build a brighter future for young people through the arts. They use dramatic art, mixed media and music to equip children with skills that will help them to develop into responsible, confident, hard-working young adults.
