SCL Education Group to Showcase Core Skills Provision at Moving On Event in Leeds

SCL Education Group is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming Moving On Event, taking place on Monday, 24th March 2025, at Benton Park School, Harrogate Road, LS19 6LX. Organised by Leeds City College in partnership with Leeds City Council, this vital event is aimed at supporting young people in Leeds who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).

SCL Education Group will be exhibiting at the event to highlight the range of Core Skills and vocational training programmes available to young people seeking new pathways into education and employment. The Moving On Event will provide a unique opportunity for school staff to gather key resources, information, and contact details to better support students in their transition towards meaningful career opportunities.

Empowering Young People Through Education

SCL Education Group is committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities to young people in Leeds. In collaboration with Leeds Rhinos Foundation, SCL has launched a 13-week ‘Destination Focused’ education programme, designed to help young people develop essential skills and gain valuable work experience in a professional environment.

With an attendance rate exceeding 90% in the first two weeks, the programme has already enrolled 47 young people and is making a significant impact on learners’ engagement, confidence, and career readiness.

What to Expect at the Moving On Event

The Moving On Event 2025 will feature a mix of presentations from training providers, a careers fair-style carousel, and networking opportunities for school staff and young people. Attendees will gain firsthand insights into available courses, work placements, and professional development pathways that can help shape their futures.
