Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

March 5 @ 10:00 am May 21 @ 4:00 pm

This Level 4 teaching qualification is designed to develop delegates practical teaching skills helping them to become effective teachers in a range of Post-16 contexts. We anticipate that delegates will already be working in post-16 education as a teacher/ trainer/ assessor or coach. Delegates may have a strong vocational background and may have moved into teaching as a secondary career. Through participation in this important strand of the Solvendis Teaching Excellence programme you will complete a range of modules to help you develop and craft your teaching and training skills. Delivery will be led by Craig Busby (Director of Teaching and Learning) with all workshops being conducted online via Teams or Zoom. The core content will include an extensive programme of workshops which focus on giving participants the skills and knowledge needed to drive improvements in teaching and learning practice across an organisation. There will be 9 Workshops (all 10.00—4.00) which will be held on Wednesdays. The topics to be covered and workshop dates are: Workshop 1 – 05/03/25 Introduction to learning Workshop 2 – 12/03/25 Planning to meet individual learner needs Workshop 3 – 19/03/25 Delivering education and training (Pt 1) Workshop 4 – 02/04/25 Delivering education and training (Pt 2) Workshop 5 – 09/04/25 Progress checking and showcasing Workshop 6 – 30/04/25 Assessment in learning Workshop 7 – 07/05/25 Learning resources Workshop 8 – 14/05/25 Inclusive practice (Pt 1) Workshop 9 – 21/05/25 Inclusive practice (Pt 2) In addition to workshop attendance, delegates will undertake a short pre-course activity, independent research, complete assignments and be observed on at least 3 occasions
