Overview
This webinar will help providers consider their governance arrangements in the FE and Skills sector for 2023/24.
We will explore governance structures, terms of reference, board member profiles and reporting channels.
The webinar discussions will also help governance members or those considering becoming a board member to more deeply understand the responsibilities, oversight and accountability requirements that a governor of a training provider must meet.
Objectives
This webinar will cover:
- The detail of effective governance arrangements for workplace learning for 2023/24, including structure, expertise required and board profile that meets good practice requirements;
- We will discuss the format, board papers that are necessary for good practice and reporting styles and channels that are required to meet ESFA and inspection EIF good or better requirements;
- We will place a lens from the EIF inspection requirements on examples of effective practice in oversight, responsibilities and accountability expected of a governance board member in workplace learning and ESFA funded provision in the FE and HEI sectors.
