The Hart School Sixth Form celebrates success after students achieve more grade As or equivalent than any other grades

The Hart School is celebrating after its Sixth Form students secured places at universities across the UK following a brilliant set of Level 3 exam results.

The first cohort to sit Level 3 exams since the Covid pandemic, the oversubscribed school in Rugeley is celebrating seeing students achieve more Grade As or equivalent than any other grading available this year.

The Creative Education Trust school on the edge of Cannock Chase, which is poised to unveil a new net-zero building as part of an impressive £2.5m expansion plan, has seen some “fantastic” Level 3 results in A Level and vocational courses.

Impressive results at A Level include in subjects physics, art and law, and in the vocational subjects of sport, dance and business.

The school’s proud head of Sixth Form Ben Brennan said: “Our motto is ‘We Can, We Will, We Do’ and everyone at The Hart School is driven to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our students to enable them to go forward with confidence to take the next step on their chosen career path.

“This was the first cohort to sit exams in normal conditions since the pandemic and we’re incredibly proud of their hard work and resilience to achieve such a brilliant set of results with more Sixth Form students achieving more Grade As or equivalent than any other grading available this year.”

He added: “We would like to congratulate all our Sixth Form students on a brilliant set of results, and we wish them all the very best for the future, including at university.

“We’d also like to thank our aspirational staff for their dedication and unwavering support in helping our students to achieve their potential.”

Some of the school’s student successes include Archie Duffy, who achieved an A in Mathematics, A in Physics, and B in Chemistry; Holli Anderton, who achieved B in Literature, B in Sociology, and D* in Dance; and Emmi Whibley, who achieved an A* in Law, C in Mathematics, and D* in Business.

Bespoke curriculum created for each Sixth Form intake

The Hart School, which is currently rated good by Ofsted but is working towards being outstanding, creates a bespoke curriculum for each Sixth Form intake based on their career goals.

Ranked in the top five first-choice secondary schools for Year 6 parents in Staffordshire, the school will hold its next Year 12 open evening on October 18 from 5pm-7pm.

It will also hold open evenings for Year 6 parents on October 4, 5-6.30pm and October 5, 6-7.30pm.
