Plumbing apprentices explore parts and products

Leading manufacturers in water treatment chemical products, central heating system filters, plumbing consumables and diagnostic testing services, Fernox attended Cambridge Regional College (@CRC_College) to talk to Level 3 Plumbing and Heating Apprentice Engineers about the parts and products they supply to the plumbing and heating industry. Fernox rep, Andy presented the wide range of products in turn, explaining their purpose and benefit in prolonging the life of residential and commercial heating systems. 

As apprentices, the students are already working in the industry, many of them using equivalent products. This provided a good opportunity for sharing knowledge, experience and raise questions regarding the products and parts. Andy was also able to share his industry experience and expertise through discussions on scenarios that the students are likely to face in the industry.

The resulting discussions led to the students exploring the science of heating systems, the ethical and environmental considerations in installing the best quality heating systems and how the reliability, efficiency and prolonged life of a heating system can lead to a good reputation and repeated new business.
