Details

This sets out the potential economic impact of the introduction of the lifelong loan entitlement (LLE) from 2025. This will provide individuals with a loan entitlement to the equivalent of 4 years of post-18 education to use over their lifetime.

The LLE will be available for modular and full-time study at higher technical and degree levels. People will be able to space out their studies and learn at a pace that is right for them. This includes choosing to build up their qualifications over time, within FE and HE providers.

The detail and scope of the LLE is open to consultation.

The analysis in this impact assessment is the same as the analysis included in measure 1 of the Skills and post-16 education impact assessment. This received a green rating from the Regulatory Policy Committee.
