2022 TOP 100 TECH FOR GOOD START-UPS AND SCALE-UPS REVEALED

Hays Technology and Empact Ventures have released the list of the Top 100 Tech for Good start-ups and scale-ups across the UK, Ireland, and European regions as part of the European Tech for Good report 2022

Hays Technology, the recruiting experts and global super connectors, Empact Ventures, have released the list of the Top 100 Tech for Good start-ups and scale-ups as part of the European Tech for Good report 2022. 

The list of the top 100 innovation finalists were selected by the competition’s 10 innovation partners in the Super Connect for Good Competition which took place across 10 regions in the UK, Ireland and Europe. The competition was set up to uncover the best emerging tech start-ups and scale-ups creating a positive impact on people’s lives through technology. 

The Innovation partners and judges who selected the Top 100 finalists included NatWest, Siemens Mobility, the OVHcloud Startup Program, Royal Agricultural University, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative, Microsoft for Startups, FinTech Scotland and Greenbackers Investment Capital.    

The EdTech Winner was Klik2learn based in Glasgow selected by the Entrepreneurship team at the Royal Agricultural University.

The overall champion of the competition, and featuring first in the report is MediSieve, an innovative new medical treatment that can detect and remove specific substances, such as cells, bacteria and toxins, directly from a patient’s bloodstream. The technology can be used as a direct treatment for disease, to increase the safety and efficacy of other therapies, or to enable personalised medicine.

Entrants into the Top 100 list include Be Nosy led by female entrepreneur Carina Cunha who came top of the AI for Good stream selected by the OVHcloud Startup Program. Based in London, Be Nosy are developers of cutting-edge wearable technology to provide effective protection against air pollution.

Also included is BrainBerry led by female entrepreneur Katheka Bojan, winner of the Healthtech stream selected by the Research and Innovation team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. BrainBerry are developers of artificial intelligence and personalised enabled cognitive behavioural therapy to help those with neurological symptoms, including Alzheimer’s.
