Daventry Learning Partnership Family Fun Day success
Almost 3,200 people enjoyed the Daventry Learning Partnership’s Family Fun Day on Saturday despite heavy rain.

Senior IT Support Analyst and event organiser Nick Devereux said, ‘The Daventry Learning Partnership is about making a positive contribution to the local community. Hosting a fun day that can be enjoyed by all is just one way in which we can celebrate our role and we are incredibly pleased with the success of Saturday’s event. Everybody who attended had an enjoyable time, despite the weather.’
DLP students from the four partner institutions also played a big part in the activities showing off their talents at the event with band and DJ performances, hair and beauty treatments, summer cookery demos and a display of art and crafts.
Cheryl Pickersgill, 40 from Southbrook said, ‘It seems a lot bigger then last time, a lot more people too, which shows the weather has not put anyone off. There’s not many family events like this in Daventry but there needs to be more. It’s great the DLP has put this event on.’
