ALP practises what it preaches as head office staff rack up qualifications

As clear evidence of qualifications making a difference to career progression, Kate Simmon’s recent completion of a Level 5 professional diploma in Management Studies has been a reason for her promotion to contract co-ordinator in ALP’s Learning Innovation Grant team.

Chloe Slee was ALP’s first apprentice. She has now completed her Level 3 Business and Administration apprenticeship and is due to be awarded an IAB Book-keeping Level 3 certificate. Her current responsibilities include updating the ALP and eLearning websites, while she also deals with accounts and other office duties.

The Keynsham office’s second apprentice is Suzanne Morgan who assists on administration. Since joining ALP, she has completed her NVQ Level 2 Business and Administration and NVQ Level 2 Customer Service.

Commenting on these successes, Graham Hoyle OBE, ALP’s chief executive, said: “I am sure that ALP members will wish to join me in congratulating Kate, Chloe and Suzanne on their marvellous achievements this year. As an organisation that champions vocational learning and particularly the value of apprenticeships, it is important that we set an example in the personal development of our own staff.
