KTP to fund pioneering recruitment solution
KTP funding has been awarded to online education recruiter eteach.com to develop a unique end-to-end recruitment service for the education sector in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University.
The £88k grant will enable eteach.com to meet a strategic gap within the education industry – the provision of the first web-based one-stop shop for recruiters and candidates.
Eteach.com will draw upon the resources of the Department of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at Oxford Brookes University Business School to transform the way in which schools and colleges recruit staff.
Professor Mark Saunders,Assistant Dean and Director of Research at Oxford Brookes Business School said: “Traditionally, schools and colleges were supported through the recruitment process by their Local Authorities, using national and local newspapers to advertise posts. Nowadays, with their growing independence, and the changing role of Local Authorities, they are increasingly reliant on their own resources for recruitment.”
Potential facilities for therecruiter include psychometric profiling, interview support, guidance on induction and online mentoring. Also planned is CV development advice, proactive search facilities, online application submissions and interview mentoring.
Eteach.com claims that theservice will be a much needed boost to a current process that can both be time-consuming and costly.
The organisation believes that the benefits of the project will extend beyond the education market. Dispensing with costly print-based advertising will improve budgets, workforce productivity and environmental targets, not only ensuring that requirements of schools and colleges are met, but also that government targets within these areas are satisfied.
