Miller Homes agrees purchase of the 18-acre Northenden Campus from The LTE Group

Miller Homes are today announcing that they have agreed the purchase of the 18-acre Northenden Campus from The LTE Group (@LTEgrp) following a rigorous sale process by Cushman and Wakefield.  The award winning home builder plans to deliver in the region of 240 homes on the site, where The Manchester College is currently located, between Wythenshawe Park and Princess Parkway.

Miller Homes and the LTE Group are working in partnership to develop and create a legacy for the site, which was formerly home to Yew Tree School before being re-developed into the current Manchester College campus.  A series of consultation events are planned throughout March to engage with key stakeholders and the local community to develop the detail of the scheme, with a view to submitting a planning application at the end of April.  

It is envisaged that the scheme will consist of high quality 3 and 4 bedroom homes for private sale along with 20% Affordable Housing.  Subject to obtaining planning in the Autumn, Miller Homes will then purchase the site and begin construction in late 2021.  The Manchester College will continue to provide education and training facilities from the Northenden Campus until it fully relocates to its new campus next to the Manchester Arena in September 2022.
