Kingswood offering 100 apprentices the chance to become an adventurer

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the apprenticeship industry, but as we start looking to next year, outdoor education and adventure provider, @Kingswood_, is hoping to help.

It is offering 100 people the chance to deliver life-changing adventures to children and young people across its sites for 2021.

While getting the chance to work outside in the fresh air as part of a close-knit team, apprentices will also be paid national apprenticeship wage, and have accommodation and meals catered for as well as access to Kingswood’s wellbeing programme.

“Our new apprentice programme has been re-designed and re-engineered to attract, retain and develop the best talent in the industry. The apprentice programme is the bedrock of our business and we want all colleagues who join the programme to have a lasting career within Inspiring Learning.

“The programme will be delivered by our sister company, Skern Training and Skills, who have an outstanding reputation in the sector. Our apprentice programme will produce our future, Chief Instructors, Assistant General Managers and even our future General Managers; the opportunities are endless.”

The Kingswood 14-month Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor apprenticeship scheme is run by its sister company, Skern Lodge, which has been delivering some of the UK’s best behavioural and leadership training for apprentices for more than 40 years, across Kingswood’s nine UK sites.

They will take part in a five-day outdoor residential at Skern Lodge, plus have all the support needed to gain their qualification and will also have help to attain Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.
