Pupil resilience and determination praised as exam results celebrated at The Hart School
@TheHartSchool in Rugeley has praised the resilience and dedication of its pupils after they achieved success in their recent exams.
The Creative Education Trust school in Penkridge Bank Road celebrated a fifth of all pupils achieving 3 A*-B grades with all students passing their Level 3 courses and outstanding results across a broad range of subjects.
After an unprecedented and difficult year for schools and pupils, The Hart School’s new Principal Miss Rachael Sandham, pictured, congratulated all students adding how proud she was of them all.
Miss Sandham, who has worked at the school for 16 years, said: “I have been incredibly impressed with the resilience and determination of our students.
“The excellence and dedication to their studies, whether mock examination or coursework, has helped us make these continued improvements, even during this strange time.
“There have been lots of tremendous results giving our students a great foundation to build excellent and fulfilling careers on. I cannot stress how incredibly proud I am of all their efforts.
“Along with the dedicated team of staff and our incredibly supportive parental community, The Hart School continues to improve and provide the young people of Rugeley with an excellent education. The results that students have received are a testament to this.”
The school’s GCSE successes include: A continued increase in 4+, 5+ and 7+ in core subjects English, Maths, Science and languages compared to last year; over 50% of all grades were grade 5 or higher; students achieving approximately a quarter of a grade higher in every subject compared to last year; and there were outstanding results achieved in a broad range of subjects.
And its A Level successes include: Continued increase in top A* and A grades compared to last year; students achieving approximately a full grade higher in every subject compared to last year; over 40 per cent of all grades a grade B or higher; and there were outstanding results in Chemistry, Fine Art and Psychology with all students achieving an average grade of A in these subjects.
Responses
