Students from The City of London Academy Highgate Hill secure top grades despite COVID-19

Students are celebrating today after achieving excellent GCSE results at the @CityofLondon Academy Highgate Hill.

Among the achievers at the Holland Walk school in Archway are:

• Trenyce Sylvester, who achieved 1 grade 9 in Geography, 2 grade 8s in English Literature and English Language and 6 grade 7s in History Sociology, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Haneen Ali who gained 6 grade 9s in History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and English Literature. 1 grade 8 in Maths and 2 grade 7s in French and Art and Design.
• Kinga Kowalik got 6 grade 8s in Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and Maths. 3 grade 7s in Art and Design, English Literature and Drama.
• Alina Zahra who got 3 grade 9s in Maths, Sociology and Geography, 4 grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and 2 grade 7s in English Literature and Drama.

The City of London Academy Highgate Hill, based in Islington, is part of the City of London Academies Trust, which runs the City of London Corporation’s sole sponsored academies.

It has twice been named by social mobility charity Sutton Trust as the UK’s best academy sponsor for empowering pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to perform above the national average, and the leading academy sponsor for Progress 8 and Attainment 8, which track pupil progress and achievement.
