Online English and Maths courses now available at Barnsley College

Barnsley College is offering online English and Maths courses starting in September for anyone wanting to improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills. Ranging from Functional Skills to GCSEs, the courses can be studied online and provide the flexibility to fit around home or family commitments. 

Students will learn English and Maths skills through lessons and assignments that are delivered online and receive regular support from tutors whilst also interacting with other students through email, online forums and video chats. 

English and Maths qualifications provide invaluable skills and knowledge required in everyday life whilst increasing confidence in reading, writing and numeracy and boosting career prospects. 

Andra Ghencea, Head of Department for English, Maths and ESOL at Barnsley College, said: “Following the successful online study during lockdown, we have received a higher demand for online learning and as a response we have decided to provide these essential courses online so that it can be accessible for anyone wanting to improve their English and Maths skills.”
