Here is the league table for the 2007 World Skills International event. The league table is created by the average score of the countries team members. 500 or more is seen to be of a World Class standard.

What is interesting is that the league table is formed by the average score of the competitors, rather than the number of Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. For example, Canada and New Zealand are joint 14th with 503.31 as the average score. Even though Canada have 2 Golds, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze. The average score is a good idea, as a country that had 12 competitors like Singapore, would otherwise be swamped by overall score or number of medals compared to France who had 36 competitors. There were a total of 46 nations competing, with Mexico in at 46 with the average score of 441 and no medals or medallions. What is interesting is that India came in at 44 out of 46 nations with 445.60 as their average score, with no medals or medallions which we found very surprising. The USA also came in at position 31 out of 46 nations with 478.50 as the average score, with 2 medallions and no medals.
