Are you a Carpentry and Joinery specialist with experience in delivering assessments and leading a team?
Would you like to be involved with supporting the delivery of the 7255-66 Level 2 Technical Diploma in carpentry and joinery qualification?
We are looking for a dynamic and industry competent person to join us as a Principal Examiner for the live start date of September 2025. The Principal Examiner is a key part of the delivery of technical qualification and is involved in every aspect of the assessment production process.
The role will include taking a lead role in the assessment production for the externally assessed examination series, working alongside other subject matter experts writing and editing assessment content, and leading a team through the annual cycle of standardisation, marking and awarding.
This Examiner role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills and development.
As a Principal Examiner for the Level 2 carpentry and joinery qualification, you would need to have knowledge and experience to write assessment content around the following areas:
Health and safety in a construction environment
Principles of welfare, health and safety in construction environments
Principles of working in the construction industry
Timber technology
Planning and preparation for architectural joinery
Use of woodworking machinery
