Tribepad adds live video interviewing and smart language translations to its video platform to help recruiters during COVID-19 lockdown
Leading recruitment software provider, @Tribepad, has today announced the launch of two new features to its award-winning video interviewing platform: live interviews and smart translations. The new additions come at a crucial time as organisations seek new ways to continue recruitment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the majority of the UK under lockdown, businesses who are recruiting for new roles are unable to perform physical face to face interviews. In a LinkedIn survey, 58% of talent acquisition professionals said that a major impact of coronavirus was going to be transforming in-person interviews to virtual ones.
Tribepad’s new live interviews remove the need to use complex applications or browser plugins and can be used on any modern device with a web-browser to improve accessibility for candidates, as well as interview completion rates. Recruiters can schedule interviews directly on the platform, based on the candidate’s availability, and can securely store video recordings of any interview. This allows recruitment managers to make the best choice when choosing a candidate to fill a role, as they can share recordings with those who were unable to attend the interview, as well as refer to video recordings as and when they need to.
The platform will accommodate up to three recruiters or hiring managers at a time to join live videos with candidates, enabling one-to-one interviews or full panel-based assessments.
The service is also completely private to the organisation, complying with GDPR regulations and helping to remove the risk of unwanted visitors joining your interviews, something which has plagued other general video conferencing platforms.
Smart Translations
Tribepad’s new smart translation tool supports recruitment teams looking to hire international talent. The system itself is available in eleven languages, including Chinese and Arabic, and can translate spoken answers quickly using AI-enabled speech-to-text transcription, into English or any of the other available languages.
Smart translations will benefit businesses with operations across different territories, and especially during lockdown, it allows businesses to communicate efficiently overseas with possible candidates for future hire. Rather than holding individual interviews in different languages with different hiring managers, the process can be streamlined to help find the best candidate suited to the role.
Candidates will be able to interview in the language they feel most comfortable in and speak about their passions, experience and skills more fluently and effectively. Enabling them to present the best version of themselves throughout the hiring process.
Tribepad’s video interviewing software is used by the likes of the BBC, Selfridges and Compass Group, to help shorten the hiring process and maintain human interaction between the interviewer and interviewee. Clients have reported a 90% reduction in interview costs.
Dean Sadler, founder and CEO at Tribepad, says:
“While some organisations have been exploring video interviews for years, now almost all organisations are starting to see the real benefits whilst we work from home. Our new live interview feature means organisations can replace their face-to-face interviews and assessment centres with a web-based solution; which is critical to ensuring they can continue to hire throughout the lock-down.
“Smart translations mean that our clients’ increasingly global workforces can recruit across geographic and language barriers, ensuring decision-makers can hire candidates quickly, and based on their own assessments.
“Our aim is to help organisations keep the hiring process running as smoothly as possible during this uncertain time. Every enhancement we make to our platforms, champions and benefits the end-user to provide an even greater chance of candidates being hired for the right role.”
