Job Title: Learning and Development Tutor/Mentor

Location: Hemel Hempstead – Centre based

Salary: up to £34,000 (Depending on experience)

Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more

Type: Full Time, Permanent 

Duties:

– Deliver the Awards in Peer Mentoring, Learning Support and Level 3 in Education and Training.
– Work closely with the education management and delivery teams, to provide curriculum and scheme of work training.
– As part of the role, the postholder will also provide cover training to small learner cohorts across a range of topics, to include: Functional Skills (Maths and/or English), Personal & Social Development and ESOL.
– The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
– Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
– The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
– Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety. 

Criteria:

– Must hold a minimum of a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
– Ideally have experience of mentoring Tutors / Trainers and supporting them with understanding / refreshing on curriculum and schemes of work.
– Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train learners.
– Ideally have experience of delivering any of the following areas; Functional Skills Maths / English, Employability, PSD, ESOL.
– Hold a Maths and English level 2 / equivalent.
– Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
– Excellent presentation and communication skills.
– Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
