The Role

The role is to facilitate teaching support to enable effective delivery of the Creative Arts curriculum within the Music area. You will be expected to provide day-to-day co-ordination of workshop / studio resource usage and related learning activities by working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students. Using your up-to-date knowledge of the music industry and your understanding of theatre and performance within the performing arts sector, you will deliver and coordinate resource usage efficiently to across the curriculum. You will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining resources within the area and will take an active part in the development of curriculum delivery through the annual business planning process.

What we are looking for

You should have a Level 4 (or above) qualification / relevant industrial experience within a music and/or performing arts context combined with strong technical skills and an up-to-date knowledge of the music industry. You must have an understanding of theatre and performance within the performing arts sector. You should also possess experience of resolving health and safety issues within live sound, theatre and recording studio context and experience of maintaining accurate records.
