Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £38,345 – £40,595 per annum

This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. This involves the government paying successful candidates from an industry background to get into teaching. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.

We are looking for an enthusiastic lecturer willing to share their knowledge and skills with young people and adults. You should have relevant industry experience and the ability to deliver Carpentry and Joinery courses and hold a relevant qualification at Level 3or above.

The ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate skills with young people and adults and have understanding and enthusiasm to help them achieve their qualification is essential.

Experience of working in a teaching/training capacity is desirable but not essential. A willingness to undertake teaching and assessing qualifications will be essential.
