Job Title: Barbering Tutor (Trainee or Qualified)
Location: Nottingham – Centre based
Salary: up to £34,000 pro rata (Depending on skills and experience) Type: Part-time, Permanent (2 days per week)
Essential Criteria:
– Hold a Barbering NVQ at level 2, along with hands on Barbering experience.
– Ideally have experience of delivering Barbering training to learners in a group based setting.
– Hold, or willingness to work towards a Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET).
– Hold own Maths and English Functional Skills level 2 / GCSE equivalents
– Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
– Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
– Excellent presentation and communication skills
– Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
Duties:
– Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Barbering within a classroom-based environment.
– Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
– Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
– Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
– Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
– Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
