 The Construction Trainer will be tasked with delivering various CITB accredited Civil Engineering modules and other industry-specific courses to a mix of employed and unemployed individuals. The chosen candidate will actively interact with learners on-site, at our skills academies, or online, ensuring a smooth and timely learning experience. Additionally, they will support the Profiling and Desk-Based Training Teams as needed.
This role is based in Manchester but involves travel and overnight stays, with all expenses covered. Full training will be provided if necessary to ensure the candidate possesses all relevant teaching, assessing, and occupational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Carrying out training and assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of qualifications at levels 2-3, to ensure the successful outcome for the full achievement of the programme in line with contractual requirements.
Deliver training modules at employers’ premises to both group and individual learners
To work closely with employers to plan delivery in line with durations agreed.
To upload and track all learning through e-portfolio OneFile so progress is evidence at all times.
Visiting learners in the workplace and delivering teaching & learning in line with the qualification requirements
Produce monthly progress reports of learners within your caseload.
Attend and participate in standardisation as planned / or required.
To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact
Complete all relevant funding documentation and administration tasks to meet compliance requirements.
Ensure that all Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety requirements (including Safe Learner Concept) are complied with always, and ensure all learners are given fair access to assessment

Skills & Experience:
Experience within the construction sector is essential
Experience of training and assessing in Construction, or the willingness to learn
Some knowledge around using an e-portfolio
Experience of teaching/training in a workplace environment in groups
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to follow processes
Enthusiasm in the workplace
Work well under pressure
Experience within Construction is essential
Full UK driving licence and use of own car, prepared to travel

Qualifications:
A valid teaching qualification at a minimum of PTLLS
Recognised NVQ Assessor Qualification e.g. A1 or D32, D22, TAQA
Ideally a level 2 qualification in the specialist sectors of delivery
Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.
