Construction Trainer – Civils and Plant

Our clients are a leading provider of Skills Bootcamps, NVQs, and Pre-Employment Training Programs, known for their national reach and growth. They are seeking a Construction Trainer to deliver CITB-accredited Civil Engineering modules and other courses to both employed and unemployed learners. You will engage with learners onsite, in our clients skills academies, or online, ensuring they complete their courses successfully. Support for the Profiling & Desk-Based Training Teams may also be required. This role is based in Sheffield and involves travel, with expenses covered. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Deliver training and assessment for qualifications at Levels 2-3 using various methods to meet contractual requirements.
Conduct training sessions at employers’ premises for both groups and individuals.
Collaborate with employers to plan training schedules.
Track and upload learner progress through the e-portfolio system, OneFile.
Visit learners at their workplaces to provide instruction and support.
Produce monthly progress reports for your caseload.
Participate in standardisation meetings as needed.
Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all learners.
Complete funding documentation and administrative tasks to ensure compliance.
Adhere to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety policies, ensuring fair access to assessments for all learners.
Requirements
Essential experience in the construction sector.
Experience in training and assessing within Construction, or willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of using e-portfolios.
Experience teaching or training in a workplace setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
Enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
Full UK driving licence and own car, with readiness to travel.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid teaching qualification (minimum PTLLS).
Recognized NVQ Assessor Qualification (e.g., A1, D32, D22, TAQA).
Level 2 qualification in relevant specialist sectors.
Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.
