The Role

As part of the Colleges Leadership Team (CLT) you will be responsible for the effective management of Careers Education Information, Advice, Guidance, Employability, and Student Finance/Welfare and Library and Learning Technology Teams. You will fulfil the role of Operational Careers Lead with responsibility for the effective management of the Post 16 Careers Strategy and Gatsby Expectations. You will manage the student experience and access to high quality and individualised careers and employability guidance and planning.

The role will also manage and administer the Student Finance and Welfare support in line with HM Government Financial Guidance for welfare for Further and Higher Education. You will have operational management responsibility for delivery of a highly effective library and learning technology service ensuring it is proactive in supporting students and staff, delivering high standards of performance with an emphasis on outstanding customer service. You will provide innovative new ways for library users to access information making full use of new and emerging technologies.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with strong and effective team management and decision-making skills, combined with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.

You will have experience of delivering a first-class service to a range of customers, and of delivering CEIAG to individuals and groups.

The ability to keep up to date with key government legislation to inform internal practice and polices is essential to this role.
