South Thames College are seeking a number of Sessional Tutors / Assessors to teach on the following courses;

Childcare (Level 2 & 3)
Security (to include Conflict Management, Physical Intervention & CCTV)
Digital Skills (Entry 3 / Level 1)
Spectator Safety (Level 2)

Working as part of the School of Workforce Development, you will be responsible for training, assessment, tutoring/mentoring, and where appropriate, internal verification of programmes within your occupational competence. You will manage and deliver the induction, initial assessment and skills scans of learners and develop assessment and learning plans that meet the needs of learners and the employer. You will support learners in completing qualifications in line with the standards and the awarding body’s EQA requirements and deliver training, underpinning knowledge, mentoring and competence to Apprentice’s in the classroom, as well as the workplace, both individually and in workshops.

All roles will be based at our Tooting campus, but may include delivery across the Group sites, offsite classrooms and working outside normal hours of work.

Candidates for these roles will be qualified to Level 3 or above (in a relevant subject) and have a successful record of delivering qualifications. You will hold a relevant Assessor qualification, a relevant teaching/training qualification and have experience of producing teaching resources. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to support and tutor learners throughout their qualification, and be able to complete schemes of work and Plans for Learning for each qualification delivered.
