Salary Scale 6/7 (points 29-33), currently £32660 to £36741 per annum.

Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. More than one hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College, its mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever.

We are looking to appoint a Maths Tutor. The post holder will be required to plan and deliver the college’s Maths provision across a range of levels. You will also deliver some Digital Skills courses currently at Entry Level and Level 1. You’ll contribute to the development of our curriculum and will collaborate with staff across the college to ensure an excellent learner experience from initial assessment through to progression.

To be considered for this role you must have an appropriate degree or professional qualification in Maths and a recognised teaching qualification.

It is desirable that you have an awareness of Functional Skills strategies and qualifications. The successful candidate will have effective communication, administrative and IT skills.

The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self- managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and is a completer / finisher.
