Students approve benefits of Apprenticeships

A survey conducted by a leading training provider has shown that young people’s confidence in apprenticeships and work-based learning has increased.
JHP Training’s annual customer satisfaction survey has revealed that 91% of young respondents thought their apprenticeship would help them in their current or future job, and was a viable tool for future career progression.
Richard Wigfield, Continuous Improvement Manager with JHP, noted: “At this time of year, young people embarking on their next step in education should consider the benefits of Apprenticeships”.
“Our survey shows that combining practical work experience with training is a real alternative to other educational routes”, he added.
One apprentice taking part in the survey stated: “I am delighted. This is definitely the right choice. I can only see that my future learning and experience will grow from strength to strength”.
Furthermore, the survey revealed that 95% of employers working with apprentices and NVQ learners were satisfied that work-based qualifications were “meeting their employee’s needs”.
