South Eastern Regional College Training for Success Project trainees’ Comber Community Garden Project Opened
South Eastern Regional College Training for Success Project trainees are actively engaged in supporting Comber Regeneration Project led by local Comber resident Roy Murray.
SERC trainees worked alongside Mr Murray and members of Comber Regeneration Project to help revitalise the Comber area through the Comber Community Garden Project
Barbara McNeill, Head of SERC Training Organisation said, “Anyone passing through Comber can view the amazing work completed by TFS Project trainees since 2018, which includes several raised flower beds positioned around the town and the main site next to the Fire Station where locals can come and help maintain plants and vegetables. There is also a seat for a local lady named Peggy to sit on when she is out walking.”
She added, “Various trades within SERC assisted with the project which was led by Terry Holland with detailed craft work was under the direction of Seamus Branniff and Tom Trainor.
