GUS named “Private Education Group of the Year” at EducationInvestor Awards 2019
London, 9 December 2019 – Global University Systems (GUS) has been awarded the prestigious Private Education Group of the Year title at the EducationInvestor Awards 2019, at a ceremony held in London on Wednesday 4 December.
The EducationInvestor Awards is one of the biggest and most prestigious accolades in higher education.
The Private Education Group of the Year title recognises excellence and notable development with regards to content and education provision on a global scale, a seal of approval for organisations dedicated to promoting and delivering quality education.
Reflecting on the win, Aaron Etingen, Founder and CEO of GUS, said: “This is an outstanding achievement for GUS, a testament to the efforts our people around the world put into creating and developing a life-changing education and career for aspiring professionals and future leaders.
“From staff to faculty in our institutions, we always put students at the centre of everything we do. This award, whilst important, shows that the hard work supporting students in realising their aspirations has been recognised across the education sector.
“I used to own a small computer company in my teens, and the education sector reminds me of those days when computers had floppy disks.
“We feel this is a very exciting journey for the sector and the role that GUS can play in it.”
The awards are an initiative promoted by EducationInvestor Global, one of the leading publications dedicated to international higher education.
Every year, they allow education providers and organisations to showcase their expertise and good practice within the industry.
Across a wide range of categories, the awards seek to highlight leading contributions from organisations investing or operating in education, promoting excellence and recognising innovation.
Mr Etingen added: “We are extremely proud of what this award means for GUS and all our institutions.
“Embracing the award, GUS will continue to look at improving and growing with the confidence of being on the right path towards delivering the best possible outcomes for our students, our partners and the sector at large.”
Global University Systems (GUS) owns and operates one of the world’s most diverse networks of higher education institutions, with over 60,000 students in six countries and a global presence online.
