NCFE wins contracts to deliver six of nine #TLevel pathways
Leading awarding organisation wins contract to develop T Levels for Digital Business Services, Digital Support Services, Health, Healthcare Science and Science T Levels
NCFE is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the contract by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (the Institute), to be the delivery partner for five new T Levels in Digital Business Services, Digital Support Services, Health, Healthcare Science and Science T Levels.
In February this year, NCFE was also awarded the contract to deliver the Education and Childcare T Level qualification from September 2020, building on a long history of providing gold standard qualifications through CACHE the leading specialist for the education and childcare sector.
NCFE will now work with the Institute to develop and design six of the first nine of the Department for Education’s new flagship T Level qualifications – placing the charity and education services provider at the forefront of the technical education revolution, working to ensure that the UK has a world-class technical education system.
These qualifications will form part of the second wave of T Levels alongside other pathways in the construction sector to be offered from September 2021. Under the reforms, learners will be able to study technical qualifications within 15 new technical industry focused ‘routes’ designed to prepare them for careers or further study in a specific sector.
NCFE will now be delivering qualifications across three of the four new technical education routes launched so far, in Childcare and Education, Health and Science and Digital.

T Levels signify a big change in technical education as they will become one of the main choices for students post-16, alongside A levels and apprenticeships. Equivalent to 3 A levels, the 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure the content prepares learners for the world of work and meets industry needs. They will offer learners a mixture of classroom learning and industry placement with the first 3 routes being delivered from September 2020.
