Learning Provider Association Welcomes 400th Member

The Association of Learning Providers (ALP) has welcomed its 400th member, at their third annual conference. The Sussex Council of Training Providers (SCTP) were presented with a membership certificate at the Partners in Learning 2005 event in Birmingham today.
The membership was conferred by ALP chairman Martin Dunford to the SCTP, who represent over 40 local training organisations and colleges in Sussex.
Marie Harris, Director of SCTP welcomed the award, “It is testament to the impact which ALP has made in government circles that “broad-church” training organisations such as SCTP want to become active members of it. The additional £38 million won by ALP for funding apprenticeships recently, for example, will be available to members and non-members and we would urge more organisations to join the Association to make its voice even stronger and reap more benefits as a result.”
