SERC and OSTC Partner in Northern Ireland to Deliver Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading
Students in Northern Ireland can now study on a new financial trading diploma course at South Eastern Regional College (SERC).
The training will be delivered by OSTC using its world-class ZISHI digital learning suite. Students will learn what it takes to become a successful trader.
OSTC and SERC offer a unique partnering, going beyond the more conventional academic routes by offering a vocational pathway into the financial industry for trading related job roles. Traditionally Belfast has concentrated on technology and support services for the finance sector, this brings a new dimension and opportunity for individuals and companies alike.
Embracing an employer-led education programme as a talent value proposition for both the college and finance sector, the programme develops students to a professionally competent and work-ready level for enhanced employability prospects.
Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive of South Eastern Regional College (SERC) said, “We are delighted to be offering the Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading at our SPACE Campus in Bangor. This intensive 4-week programme offers suitable candidates an exciting opportunity to enter the financial trading sector, equipped with both the qualification and professional body membership necessary to accelerate a career in investment banking and financial services.
“At SERC we are continually developing our programme offer, allowing students to progress careers that will also meet demands of the local economy.”
Lee Hodgkinson, CEO of OSTC said, “We are proud to be partnering with SERC to help talented and ambitious students in Northern Ireland join the workforce and build the economy. The Advanced Diploma is offered at the highest level of applied learning and equips learners with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours for those targeting careers within the financial services sector.”
